Fake Install occurs when a fraudster uses device emulation software, or SDK spoofing, to fake real install events by manipulating attribution algorithms.

Many types of mobile ad fraud involve the stealing of paid or organic genuine installs. n. However, in some cases, fraudsters simply simulate fake installs, that are not related to any real paid or organic install. This is usually an indication of SDK spoofing or device emulation software.
